Job Description
The Program Manager I – MEAL provides technical leadership for monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning across the project. The role oversees the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the MEAL system while ensuring compliance with donor and organizational standards. It also supervises MEAL staff and collaborates with partners to promote evidence‑based decision‑making. This position is remote and open to Kenyan nationals with extensive experience in program management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (BA/BSc/HND) and a postgraduate qualification (MBA/MSc/MA) preferred
- • Minimum of 7 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning or related program management
- • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects
- • Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
- • Excellent data management and quality‑assurance capabilities
- • Proven interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills in English
- • Ability to plan, prioritize and deliver multiple workstreams on schedule

- • Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the project MEAL system
- • Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle, from start‑up to close‑out
- • Ensure timely collection, analysis and use of high‑quality performance and feedback data
- • Supervise and mentor MEAL staff, fostering capacity building and best practices
- • Coordinate with project leadership, technical teams and partners to strengthen MEAL processes
- • Align MEAL activities with donor requirements, CRS standards and industry best practices
