Job Description
The Programme Officer coordinates the day‑to‑day implementation of the Uzazi Salama health programme, overseeing activities from training to community engagement. They track progress, produce reports, and address operational challenges to ensure programme objectives are met. The role requires a bachelor’s degree, a diploma, and three to five years of experience in RMNCAH programme implementation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) and a Diploma in a relevant field.
- • 3–5 years of experience implementing RMNCAH programmes in Kenya.
- • Demonstrated ability to conduct training, capacity building, and data quality initiatives.
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint) and strong report‑writing skills.
- • High level of initiative, integrity, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Coordinate daily implementation of Uzazi Salama activities according to workplans.
- • Organize and follow up on trainings, supportive supervision, and community engagement events.
- • Track activity completion, identify bottlenecks, and ensure documentation is up to date.
- • Produce routine programme reports and maintain implementation records.
- • Manage logistics and participation for programme activities across counties.
- • Engage with health‑workers, community and faith leaders to strengthen referral systems.
