Job Description
The QA Automation Engineer designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites to ensure the quality of Watu’s fintech applications. Working closely with developers, the engineer creates robust scripts, integrates testing into CI pipelines, and reports defects. The role requires strong programming skills and experience with test automation frameworks. This full‑time position supports the delivery of reliable financial services.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
- • At least 2 years of experience in software testing and test automation
- • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python or JavaScript
- • Hands‑on experience with Selenium, Cypress or comparable automation tools
- • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems

Responsibilities
- • Design and develop automated test scripts using Selenium or similar tools
- • Build and maintain test frameworks and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines
- • Execute regression, performance, and functional tests and analyze results
- • Identify, document, and track software defects in collaboration with developers
- • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability
- • Continuously improve testing processes and suggest best practices
