Job Description
The Quantity Surveyor will review construction drawings, prepare detailed take‑offs and bills of quantities, and calculate material and labour requirements. They will develop tender documents, monitor site expenditures against budgets and maintain cost databases. Coordination with architects, engineers and contractors, as well as regular site visits and cost reporting, are key components of the role.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Minimum Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- • At least 1 year of relevant working experience
- • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and services drawings
- • Practical knowledge of construction materials, labour requirements and building processes
- • Strong understanding of Kenyan construction rates and procurement practices
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- • Experience preparing Bills of Quantities, valuations and cost reports
- • Membership or registration with a relevant professional body (advantageous)
