Job Description
The Quantity Surveyor manages the financial aspects of construction projects, from initial cost estimating through to final account settlement. They prepare budgets, tender documents, and bills of quantities, while ensuring projects stay within financial targets and contractual obligations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field
- • Professional Certificate in Quantity Surveying
- • Minimum 4 years of experience in construction cost management
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop comprehensive project budgets, cost plans and financial forecasts
- • Perform take‑offs and measurements from drawings to prepare accurate estimates
- • Prepare tender documents, Bills of Quantities and cost estimates for subcontractors
- • Conduct cost control, monitor expenditures and report variances
- • Administer contracts, process variations and manage final account settlements
- • Collaborate with consultants, procurement and construction teams to ensure cost‑effective delivery
