Job Description
The Rapid Response Rider provides on‑site automotive assistance to members, delivering emergency services such as battery jump‑starts, fuel delivery, and minor repairs. The role involves diagnosing vehicle issues, ensuring safety at breakdown scenes, and coordinating towing when necessary. Maintaining the rider’s own response vehicle and equipment is also a key responsibility.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND or equivalent degree in a technical field
- • Minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience in automotive repair or roadside assistance
- • High level of trustworthiness and integrity handling members’ vehicles and property
- • Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
- • Ability to work independently and respond quickly to emergency calls
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Perform battery jump‑starts, testing, and replacement as needed
- • Deliver emergency fuel, coolant, brake fluid, and other essential fluids to stranded members
- • Change flat tires and conduct puncture repairs using portable equipment
- • Conduct basic on‑road diagnostics with OBD‑II scanners and address minor mechanical faults
- • Provide quick fixes for engine overheating, loose belts, and simple electrical issues
- • Secure breakdown scenes by setting up safety cones and informing insurance parties
- • Coordinate with dispatch to arrange heavy recovery or towing services when required
- • Maintain and service the response motorbike, ensuring it is fueled, clean, and equipped with necessary tools
