Job Description
The Director/CEO will lead the Centre’s strategic direction, oversee daily operations and advise senior government officials on crime‑research policy. Responsibilities include managing budgets, coordinating development programmes, and representing the organisation to stakeholders. The role demands extensive senior‑management experience and a strong academic background.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) required
- MBA, MSc, MA, PhD or Fellowship preferred
- • Minimum 15 years of senior‑management experience, preferably in research or public‑sector organisations
- • Proven ability to develop policy, manage large budgets and lead cross‑functional teams
- • Strong strategic thinking, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Provide overall day‑to‑day management of the Centre’s affairs
- • Advise the Governing Council and Cabinet Secretary on policy, plans and strategies
- • Oversee accounting, budgeting and financial reporting processes
- • Coordinate development programmes, project formulation and monitoring
- • Manage stakeholder relationships and act as the principal spokesperson
- • Ensure effective organisational structure, succession planning and a positive work culture
