Job Description
The Real Estate Development Manager drives the Group’s property portfolio growth by shaping development strategy, conducting feasibility studies and overseeing land planning and project delivery. They evaluate asset utilisation, negotiate joint‑venture partnerships and monitor performance against financial targets. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Land Economics, Property Management, Construction, Architecture, Urban Planning, Finance or Business Administration
- • Membership in the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) (preferred)
- • Master’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Property Development or related field (advantageous)
- • 8–12 years of experience in real estate development, property investment or asset management
- • Proven expertise in feasibility studies, financial modelling and investment appraisal
- • Experience managing land development, subdivision, planning approvals and mixed‑use projects
- • Strong track record of working with consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities
- • Ability to conduct market analysis, valuation, negotiations and joint‑venture structuring

Responsibilities
- • Develop and implement the Group's real estate development strategy and pipeline
- • Assess properties to determine highest and best use and recommend development, sale, lease, subdivision or partnership options
- • Conduct technical, market and financial feasibility studies, preparing budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and ROI analyses
- • Identify and execute land subdivision and value‑enhancement opportunities, coordinating architects, planners and engineers
- • Lead project delivery from concept through design, approvals, construction and completion, managing budgets, timelines and quality
- • Evaluate joint‑venture and strategic partnership opportunities, performing commercial due diligence and preparing proposals
- • Optimise existing assets by improving utilisation, income and capital value, recommending redevelopment or disposal where appropriate
- • Maintain up‑to‑date portfolio and pipeline reports, tracking progress against financial and operational targets
