Job Description
The Front Desk Sales Clerk supports daily operations by delivering excellent customer service, handling inquiries, and managing phone communications. They process point‑of‑sale transactions, prepare invoices, and maintain accurate sales and financial records. The role also involves coordinating with sales and production teams, managing petty cash, and updating the ERP system. All duties are performed on‑site in Nairobi.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Strong phone etiquette and professional call handling.
- • Proficiency in clerical tasks such as organizing records and managing correspondence.
- • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly.
- • Basic computer literacy.
- • Diploma in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
- • Attention to detail.
- • Experience with Tally ERP (a plus).
- • Prior experience as a receptionist (a plus).
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Prepare and issue customer invoices and cash sales accurately and in a timely manner.
- • Attend to all incoming customer inquiries.
- • Maintain organized and up‑to‑date filing systems for financial and sales records.
- • Manage petty cash and ensure proper accountability and reconciliation.
- • Handle incoming calls professionally and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
- • Record and maintain detailed logs of all sales activities, including customer information for walk‑in clients.
- • Coordinate with the Sales and Production teams on quotations and resolve customer complaints to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- • Report on daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
- • Assist the Sales Manager in following up on customer inquiries, orders, and after‑sales service issues.
- • Accurately capture and update customer information, sales orders, invoices, receipts and payments within the ERP system.
- • Perform any other duties assigned.
