Job Description

The Recruitment and Staff Development Manager will lead full‑cycle talent acquisition and design comprehensive staff development programs. Responsibilities include sourcing candidates, managing onboarding, coordinating training, and overseeing performance management processes. The role works closely with senior leadership to build career pathways and improve employee retention across the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • • Minimum 5 years of experience in recruitment, staff development and performance management
  • • Demonstrated leadership ability and strong communication skills
  • • In‑depth knowledge of Kenyan labour regulations and HR best practices

Required Skills

Responsibilities

  • • Manage full‑cycle hiring across all departments, including role definition, job description drafting and applicant pipeline management
  • • Execute targeted sourcing strategies via job boards, social media and professional networks
  • • Screen resumes, conduct interviews and negotiate job offers in compliance with Kenyan employment law
  • • Oversee a company‑wide onboarding program that equips new hires with tools, integrates them into the culture and prepares them for success
  • • Design and implement a leadership and development program to cultivate future leaders
  • • Identify departmental skill gaps and coordinate training workshops, certifications and development modules
  • • Conduct performance reviews, manage the evaluation cycle and streamline performance management procedures
  • • Hold career‑guidance sessions, track individual development plans and implement retention strategies
  • • Collaborate with payroll and attendance teams to manage schedules, approve leave requests and reconcile working hours
  • • Maintain precise employee records, manage HRIS entries and monitor key HR metrics such as turnover and training completion
  • • Ensure all recruitment, training and performance practices comply with company policies and Kenyan labor laws
