Job Description
The Regional Finance Director oversees financial management, reporting, treasury and budgeting for Asante Africa Foundation’s operations in three East African countries. The role consolidates financial statements, coordinates audits and builds capacity within country finance teams, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the CEO and global finance committee. Strong technical finance expertise, high ethical standards and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non‑finance stakeholders are essential. Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, complemented by an MBA, MSc or MA
- • Professional finance or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
- • Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles
- • Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams across multiple countries
- • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting systems
- • High ethical standards, integrity and sound professional judgment
- • Excellent written and spoken English
- proficiency in Kiswahili is an advantage
- • Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial information to diverse audiences

- • Lead financial management, reporting, treasury and budgeting across three East African operating countries
- • Consolidate country financial statements and ensure timely, accurate regional reporting to the CEO and Global Finance Committee
- • Coordinate external audits and oversee audit preparation for all country entities
- • Develop and implement budgeting processes and financial controls to enhance fiscal discipline
- • Provide capacity‑building support and technical guidance to country finance teams
- • Ensure compliance with donor requirements, regulatory standards and internal policies
