Job Description
The Regional Protection Officer supports IOM’s migration response by drafting and reviewing protection assessments and identifying risk‑mitigation strategies. The role works closely with regional offices, headquarters, and government partners to ensure safe environments for vulnerable groups. Technical guidance is provided to field teams on shelter, legal frameworks, and referral pathways. Strong analytical and coordination abilities are essential for effective protection outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field such as law, social sciences or humanitarian studies
- • 5‑7 years of experience in protection, humanitarian or legal coordination
- • Proven ability to produce high‑quality analytical reports
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills
