Job Description
The Regional Safety & Security Director leads the development and implementation of safety and security programs across Africa and Europe, protecting staff, volunteers, and partners while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant discipline
- • Minimum 7 years experience in safety, security or risk management
- • Proven ability to develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- • Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills
- • Experience working in multicultural, multi‑regional environments
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop and enforce operational safety and security standards for all regional activities
- • Provide technical safety guidance and support to staff and volunteers
- • Design and deliver safety trainings, drills, and awareness programs
- • Coordinate regional safety committees and facilitate regular meetings
- • Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, including root‑cause analysis
- • Ensure compliance with country‑specific health, safety, and security regulations
- • Advise business units on emergency management plans and crisis response procedures
- • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry best practices and emerging threats
