Job Description
The Relationship Officer – Deposit Mobilization drives deposit growth by building strong client relationships and delivering tailored financial solutions. They develop strategies to attract new depositors, promote savings and investment products, and meet monthly and annual mobilization targets. The position requires a bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in banking or financial services.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field
- • Minimum of three years of experience in deposit mobilization, banking or financial services
- • Strong interpersonal and networking skills
- • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- • Negotiation and persuasive selling skills
- • Customer‑centric mindset with problem‑solving orientation
- • High integrity and commitment to ethical banking practices
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop and implement strategies to attract new depositors and retain existing clients
- • Achieve monthly and annual deposit mobilization targets set by management
- • Promote UMBA’s savings, fixed‑deposit and investment products to individuals, groups, SMEs and institutions
- • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients through proactive engagement and excellent service
- • Conduct regular client visits, meetings and financial‑education forums to increase product awareness
- • Act as the primary point of contact for key deposit clients and respond to queries promptly
- • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories
