Job Description
The Repair Technician at Ignite Access Kenya Limited performs incoming quality checks, disassembly, repair, and refurbishment of solar and appliance products. Responsibilities include managing workshop tools, inventory control, and providing first‑level maintenance for the facility’s electrical infrastructure. The technician also supports additional technical tasks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND or Diploma in Renewable Energy, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on technical experience in repair or refurbishment of electronic/solar products
- • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Conduct incoming quality checks for shipments of IEA K products
- • Disassemble, repair, and refurbish solar, appliance, and component units according to defined procedures
- • Manage and monitor workshop tools, test equipment, and inventory of work‑in‑progress items and spare parts
- • Perform first‑level maintenance and servicing of the facility’s electrical infrastructure
- • Oversee workshop activities to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly production targets
- • Carry out additional technical tasks as prioritized by the supervisor
