Job Description
The Research and Advocacy Specialist will shape AfricaNenda Foundation’s evidence‑generation agenda, translating strategic priorities into actionable research projects and policy advocacy initiatives. The role involves designing primary research, conducting comprehensive desk analyses, and delivering findings to influence inclusive payment system reforms. A master’s level education and extensive research experience are required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Master’s degree (MBA, MSc, or MA) in a relevant field
- • Minimum 7 years of experience in research, policy analysis, or advocacy
- • Strong leadership and project management capabilities
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Proven ability to produce high‑quality evidence for policy influence

Responsibilities
- • Support the Director in defining evidence‑generation and advocacy priorities
- • Develop an annual and rolling evidence agenda aligned with organizational strategy
- • Translate strategic priorities into clear research questions and workstreams
- • Identify evidence gaps that limit policy action and propose solutions
- • Maintain a calendar of research outputs, policy processes, and advocacy opportunities
- • Conduct desk research, literature reviews, policy analyses, and rapid evidence assessments
- • Design and support primary research using qualitative and quantitative methods
