Job Description
The Retail Shop Supervisor leads a team of retail associates, drives sales performance and manages inventory for HalfPriced Books Limited. They are responsible for achieving sales targets, ensuring excellent customer service and developing B2B partnerships to grow the business.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) or equivalent qualification.
- • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in retail supervision or store management.
- • Proven ability to lead a sales team and meet performance targets.
- • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and drive improvements.
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- • Achieve individual and store monthly sales targets and support the team in meeting collective goals.
- • Lead, coach and evaluate Retail Associates, conducting regular performance reviews and onboarding new staff.
- • Monitor sales trends, analyse data and implement strategies to maximise in‑store and online sales.
- • Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment and visual merchandising standards.
- • Develop and nurture B2B partnerships to expand the store’s market reach.
- • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service and conflict resolution.
- • Coordinate promotional activities and store‑level marketing initiatives.
- • Maintain accurate sales reports and provide insights to senior management.
