Job Description
The Roving Safety Officer will oversee safety risk management for DRC personnel, assets and facilities across Kenya, ensuring compliance with the organisation’s safety policies and providing guidance to staff in the field.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
- • Strong knowledge of safety risk management systems and procedures
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Identify and mitigate potential safety risks to staff, facilities and assets
- • Update and disseminate Local Safety Rules and Safety Risk Assessments for field locations
- • Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports for the Country Safety Coordinator
- • Respond to safety concerns raised by staff and provide clearance for staff movements
- • Conduct internal HEIST training for DRC staff in collaboration with the CSC
- • Ensure all DRC personnel are aware of safety policies and procedures
- • Prioritise tasks and meet deadlines under pressure while maintaining calm during incidents
