Job Description
The Saccoassurance Officer will develop and manage insurance products for United Women Sacco, ensuring they meet member needs and generate sustainable returns. The role includes negotiating with providers, leading marketing campaigns, assessing risks, and supporting members with claims processing. Compliance with regulatory requirements and cross‑selling opportunities are also key responsibilities. The officer will collaborate with internal teams to align products with the Sacco’s financial objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND or Diploma in a relevant field
- • Minimum 3 years of experience in the insurance sector
- • Strong sales and negotiation abilities
- • Excellent relationship‑building and interpersonal skills
- • Analytical mindset with capability to interpret data and trends
- • Effective communication and presentation skills
- • Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and compliance
- • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office applications

Responsibilities
- • Identify and develop insurance products that add value for the Sacco and its members while negotiating favorable terms with providers
- • Lead marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives to boost product awareness and member uptake
- • Assess risks faced by the Sacco and members and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
- • Assist members with filing claims and coordinate with insurance companies for timely settlement
- • Ensure insurance products maximize returns and maintain a diversified portfolio
- • Maintain compliance with all regulatory licensing, reporting and legal requirements
- • Identify cross‑selling opportunities based on member needs and financial situations
