Job Description
The School Driver/Mechanic provides safe transportation for students and staff while maintaining the school’s vehicle fleet in optimal condition. Duties include daily driving of school transport, performing routine inspections, and carrying out mechanical repairs to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • KCSE certificate
- • Valid Kenyan driving licence (Class BCE or PSV) with a clean driving record
- • Certificate or Diploma in Automotive or Motor Vehicle Engineering
- • Ability to perform basic and intermediate vehicle repairs
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Transport students and staff safely to and from school premises
- • Perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on school vehicles
- • Keep accurate maintenance logs and service records
