Job Description
The Security Assistant will maintain a safe environment within a student residence by providing a visible security presence, conducting patrols and responding to emergencies. The role also supports fire‑drill exercises and ensures compliance with tenancy agreements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • KCSE (High School Diploma) or equivalent
- • Minimum 1–2 years experience in the security industry
- • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
- • Detail‑oriented with strong observational skills
- • Basic knowledge of security systems and procedures
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Provide a friendly and helpful presence for students, staff and visitors
- • Assist with security‑related inquiries and concerns
- • Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the residence
- • Participate in fire‑drill exercises and act as a first responder during emergencies
- • Identify maintenance or safety issues and report them to the appropriate department
- • Monitor security systems and ensure compliance with tenancy agreements
- • Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required
