Job Description
The Security Manager will oversee all security operations for the hotel, safeguarding guests, staff, and assets. The role includes developing risk‑based procedures, managing security technology, and leading incident response. Strong leadership and knowledge of Kenyan security regulations are essential to maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND or Diploma in Security Management, Criminal Justice or a related field
- • Minimum 5 years of security experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory role
- • Strong knowledge of Kenyan security regulations and hotel security practices
- • Excellent leadership, communication and incident‑management abilities
- • Ability to conduct investigations and produce accurate reports
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Lead and oversee daily security operations across the hotel
- • Develop, implement and review security procedures, risk assessments and loss‑prevention strategies
- • Monitor CCTV, access‑control and key‑control systems to protect the property
- • Direct response to security incidents, conduct investigations and prepare detailed reports
- • Design and conduct emergency, crisis and evacuation drills
- • Supervise, coach and evaluate the security team to ensure high performance and professionalism
- • Ensure compliance with Kenyan laws, hotel policies and brand security standards
- • Maintain effective relationships with management, guests, external security providers and law‑enforcement agencies
