Job Description
The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding staff, visitors, cargo and facilities at the cargo centre. Duties include access control, cargo screening, documentation verification, and monitoring of security personnel. The role also involves incident reporting and ensuring compliance with security regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Minimum KCSE (or equivalent secondary education)
- • Minimum 2 years of experience in security operations

Responsibilities
- • Monitor and control access to the facility
- • Verify identification of staff, visitors, and tenants
- • Conduct security screening of personnel, baggage, vehicles, and cargo
- • Check import and export cargo and verify relevant documentation
- • Monitor and record incoming and outgoing vehicles, ULDs, and pallets
- • Screen export cargo and Dangerous Goods in accordance with procedures
- • Escort cargo between the aircraft and warehouse when required
- • Monitor security of the warehouse, premises, and surrounding areas
- • Monitor performance of contracted security personnel
- • Maintain required security records and documentation
- • Report security incidents, discrepancies, and irregularities
- • Comply with company policies, security procedures, and applicable regulations
- • Perform any other duties as assigned by management
- • Provide aircraft and inflight security and access control
