Job Description
The Senior Accountant will ensure accurate financial operations for Intrepid Travel’s East Africa entities. Responsibilities include month‑end close, statutory and tax compliance, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. The role supports decision‑making by providing clear performance insights and maintaining robust financial controls. Collaboration with regional finance teams and the shared services centre is essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
- • 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience
- • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Coordinate month‑end accounting and journal entries
- • Support statutory filing and tax compliance across Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda
- • Prepare financial statements and management reports
- • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- • Provide financial data to aid performance monitoring and risk management
- • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards
