Job Description
The Senior Adviser WASH (Sanitation) provides strategic leadership and technical guidance to governments and UNICEF offices to accelerate progress toward sustainable sanitation services. The role focuses on strengthening systems, integrating climate‑resilient approaches, and fostering partnerships while leading advocacy and emergency response initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- MBA, MSc, or MA preferred.
- • Minimum 10 years of experience in WASH, sanitation, or related sectors within national and international organizations.
- • Proven ability to conceptualize, plan, and execute large‑scale programs.
- • Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.
- • Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.

- • Provide strategic leadership and technical assistance to governments and UNICEF Country Offices on sanitation programs.
- • Strengthen sanitation systems, institutions, financing, and service delivery, integrating climate‑resilient approaches.
- • Offer policy support, innovation guidance, and partnership development to expand sustainable sanitation access.
- • Lead advocacy efforts and build strategic partnerships with stakeholders and donors.
- • Support emergency preparedness, response, and technical assistance in humanitarian contexts.
- • Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and knowledge sharing of sanitation initiatives.
