Job Description
The Senior Backend Engineer will design and maintain the backend services that power M‑KOPA’s Asset Sales platform. Responsibilities include developing scalable APIs, ensuring system security, and collaborating with product and front‑end teams. The engineer will also conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers. Extensive backend development experience and strong knowledge of Java or Node.js are required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- • 5+ years experience in backend software development
- • Proficiency in Java, Node.js or equivalent languages and RESTful APIs
- • Experience with relational databases, cloud platforms and micro‑services architecture
- • Strong problem‑solving, debugging and communication skills
