Job Description
The Senior Backend Engineer will design, develop and maintain event‑driven microservices that power M‑KOPA’s mobility platform. Working remotely under a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, the engineer will collaborate with product, data and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure and high‑performance services using .NET and cloud technologies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- • Proven experience developing backend services with C#/.NET
- • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- • Familiarity with event‑driven design, messaging queues and monitoring tools such as Prometheus
- • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while delivering quality code
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Build and enhance .NET‑based microservices for mobility and payment solutions
- • Implement event‑driven architectures using Azure Service Bus, Kafka or similar messaging systems
- • Write automated tests, monitor performance and ensure high availability in Kubernetes environments
- • Participate in code reviews, design discussions and technical documentation
- • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define API contracts and integration points
- • Contribute to continuous delivery pipelines and DevOps best practices
