Job Description
The Senior Backend Engineer will design, develop and maintain scalable server‑side components for M‑KOPA’s mobility platform. The role involves building APIs, ensuring performance and security, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable services. Mentoring junior engineers and driving technical best practices are also key responsibilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
- • 5+ years of professional experience in backend development
- • Strong proficiency in Java, Node.js, or similar languages
- • Experience with cloud platforms, micro‑services architecture and RESTful APIs
- • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members
