Job Description
The Senior Case Management Coordinator and Technical Quality Lead oversees mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services for law‑enforcement and first‑responder teams, while ensuring program safeguarding and shelter operations meet the highest standards. The role provides clinical supervision, designs trauma‑informed training, and leads staff wellbeing initiatives across multiple sites.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology (mandatory)
- PhD is an advantage
- • Active registration and valid practising licence with the Counsellors and Psychologists Board and membership of the Kenya Counselling and Psychological Association or equivalent professional body
- • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct (Police Clearance) and a clean safeguarding/child protection background check
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Coordinate and oversee specialized MHPSS services, stress‑management support and trauma debriefings for law‑enforcement officers, and design trauma‑informed training modules
- • Serve as Program Safeguarding Focal Point, enforcing PSEA, Child Protection and Survivor Safeguarding policies, and manage feedback, complaint and whistleblowing mechanisms
- • Supervise Shelter Managers, conduct regular field visits, and act as Acting Shelter Manager when needed
- • Design and institutionalize staff wellness, psychological safety and stress‑management frameworks, facilitating peer‑led debriefings and individual check‑ins
- • Deliver specialized MHPSS services for complex trauma cases, develop clinical toolkits, screening protocols and recovery manuals, and provide clinical supervision to shelter psychologists and social workers
