Job Description
The Senior Credit Controller manages the hospital’s debtor portfolio, overseeing collections, reconciliations, and credit control across corporate, medical insurance, and SHA accounts. The role requires strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of hospital billing processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND or professional finance/accounting certification
- • Minimum 5 years of credit control or accounts receivable experience in a hospital setting
- • Proven expertise with SHA, medical insurance, and corporate accounts
- • Proficiency in accounting/HMIS systems and advanced Excel skills
- • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities

- • Manage hospital debtors and oversee collections across all account types
- • Perform regular reconciliations and monitor ageing reports
- • Negotiate payment plans and resolve disputed invoices
- • Ensure compliance with hospital billing and claims procedures
- • Generate and present credit control reports to senior management
