Job Description
The Senior Data & Information Governance Specialist will design and operationalise enterprise‑wide data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, compliance and effective use of AI tools. The role includes stakeholder engagement, policy development and training to embed governance practices across the organisation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
- • 14 years of experience in data governance, information management or related disciplines.
- • Proven expertise in data quality, records management, classification, retention and privacy.
- • Practical understanding of AI applications in data governance.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation ability.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Implement and operationalise data and information governance frameworks, policies and procedures.
- • Support governance forums, working groups and track action items and reporting.
- • Translate governance requirements into practical SOPs, RACI matrices and role definitions.
- • Define data ownership, stewardship and classification schemes across the organisation.
- • Apply AI‑enabled tools for metadata enrichment, data quality monitoring and risk identification.
- • Conduct training and change‑management activities to embed governance practices.
- • Monitor compliance with data protection regulations and internal standards.
