Job Description
The Senior Director and Head of Biostatistics will provide strategic leadership for IAVI's global biostatistics function, setting direction, standards and operating approaches. The role oversees design, analysis and interpretation of clinical trial data, ensuring statistical rigor and regulatory compliance. It also mentors a high‑performing team and collaborates with cross‑functional partners to drive scientific innovation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology or a related quantitative discipline
- • At least 10 years of experience leading biostatistics teams in clinical research or vaccine development
- • Demonstrated expertise in advanced statistical modelling, survival analysis and longitudinal data
- • Strong track record of scientific publications and regulatory submissions
- • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
