Job Description
The Senior Director will lead the Resource Mobilization Technical Assistance Facility, shaping financing strategies that secure sustainable public investment for Keystone Protected Areas. This senior role oversees the public funding pipeline, builds partnerships with governments and donors, and guides a high‑performing team to achieve ambitious conservation finance goals. The position requires extensive experience in resource mobilization and a strong background in conservation finance. The director will also represent the organization in high‑level stakeholder engagements and advocacy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Master's degree in conservation, environmental management, finance, economics, international development or a related field (or equivalent BA/BSc with extensive experience)
- • Minimum 10 years experience in resource mobilization, public funding or conservation finance
- • Proven track record of securing large‑scale public and philanthropic funding
- • Strong financial and commercial acumen with knowledge of innovative financing mechanisms such as carbon and biodiversity finance
- • Exceptional strategic thinking, decision‑making and ability to translate vision into implementation
- • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills
- • Outstanding written and verbal communication, including proposal development and presentation

- • Provide strategic leadership for the Resource Mobilization Technical Assistance Facility to secure sustainable financing for Keystone Protected Areas
- • Oversee development and management of the public funding pipeline, including the Public Funding workstream and Keystone Funder Alliance
- • Design and implement ambitious funding strategies that increase public investment in protected‑area management
- • Mobilize significant public and philanthropic capital by building partnerships with governments, donors, and private‑sector stakeholders
- • Lead a high‑performing, collaborative team and ensure delivery of project objectives and milestones
- • Represent the organization in stakeholder engagements, negotiations and high‑level advocacy for conservation finance
