Job Description
The Senior Director, Tourism Finance leads the strategic direction and delivery of the Tourism Technical Assistance Facility, overseeing partner selection, performance management and resource mobilization. The role provides thought leadership, prepares external communications and engages a wide range of stakeholders including donors, investors and tourism partners. Strong project management and financial expertise are essential for driving sustainable tourism outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND and a Postgraduate Diploma (preferred) in Tourism, Conservation, Business, Finance or related field
- • Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, project management or tourism development
- • Proven ability to lead multi‑stakeholder projects and secure funding
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- fluency in English, with Portuguese or French as a plus
- • Experience working in multicultural environments and ability to travel as required

Responsibilities
- • Set strategic direction, priorities and implementation plans for the Tourism TAF workstream
- • Oversee selection and performance management of consulting partners and service providers
- • Provide technical guidance and ensure high‑quality, efficient solutions meet program objectives
- • Lead resource mobilization, developing donor and investor partnerships for sustainability
- • Produce strategic external materials, briefings and stakeholder engagements
- • Maintain relationships with KPAs, industry partners, funders and government agencies
