Job Description
The Senior Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Engineer designs, deploys and maintains server and network environments while ensuring robust security controls. Responsibilities include managing Windows and Linux servers, virtualisation platforms, network devices and responding to security incidents. The role demands strong troubleshooting, scripting and cloud‑platform experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc/HND) or equivalent
- • Minimum 3 years experience in network infrastructure engineering and cybersecurity
- • Hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux server administration
- • Proficiency with virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V, VMware, Proxmox)
- • Knowledge of networking protocols, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS and DHCP
- • Experience with firewall and VPN administration and security monitoring
- • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud)
- • Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash or Python
- • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, RHCSA, LPIC‑1, Fortinet) are preferred

Responsibilities
- • Deploy, configure and optimise Windows and Linux server environments
- • Create, manage and monitor virtual machines using Hyper‑V, VMware or Proxmox
- • Perform server patching, updates, backups, disaster‑recovery testing and capacity planning
- • Monitor server performance, availability and overall infrastructure health
- • Install, configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and wireless infrastructure
- • Support LAN, WAN, VPN and remote‑access services
- • Configure and maintain firewall rules, VPN solutions and other network security controls
- • Monitor security events and respond to infrastructure‑related incidents
- • Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation measures
