Job Description
The Senior Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for deploying, configuring and maintaining Windows and Linux server environments, virtualisation platforms and network security solutions. The role monitors performance, conducts vulnerability assessments, manages ICT assets and provides advanced technical support while contributing to cloud adoption and cybersecurity initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Systems or a related field
- • Minimum three years of experience in systems administration, network administration or infrastructure engineering
- • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration
- • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper‑V, VMware or Proxmox
- • Familiarity with networking protocols, firewall and VPN administration
- • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and vulnerability management
- • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and diagrams
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Deploy, configure and optimize Windows and Linux server environments
- • Create, manage and monitor virtual machines using Hyper‑V, VMware or Proxmox
- • Perform server patching, updates, backups, disaster‑recovery testing and capacity planning
- • Monitor server performance, availability and overall infrastructure health
- • Install, configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and wireless equipment
- • Support LAN, WAN, VPN and remote‑access services
- • Configure and maintain firewall rules, VPN solutions and other network security controls
- • Monitor security events and respond to infrastructure‑related incidents
- • Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement security best practices
- • Install, troubleshoot and maintain servers, storage systems, desktops and laptops
- • Manage ICT asset inventories and lifecycle processes
- • Produce technical documentation, infrastructure diagrams and operating procedures
- • Provide second‑ and third‑level technical support for infrastructure issues
- • Participate in infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption and cybersecurity improvement initiatives
