Job Description
The Senior Legal Officer will join Mogo Auto Limited’s in‑house legal team, providing comprehensive legal counsel, managing litigation, and ensuring regulatory compliance for the company’s automotive finance operations. Responsibilities include drafting contracts, overseeing dispute resolution, and advising senior management on risk matters. The role requires extensive litigation experience and strong analytical skills. This full‑time position is based in Nairobi.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Law degree (LLB) and admission to the Kenyan Bar.
- • Significant experience in litigation, preferably within the automotive or finance sector.
- • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- • Ability to work independently and provide strategic legal guidance.

Responsibilities
- • Provide legal advice to senior management on automotive finance and related regulatory matters.
- • Manage and oversee litigation matters, including strategy, documentation, and court representation.
- • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, loan agreements, and commercial documents.
- • Ensure compliance with Kenyan financial and automotive regulations.
- • Conduct legal research and risk assessments to support business decisions.
- • Liaise with external counsel and coordinate legal support for various projects.
