Job Description
The Senior Officer will manage treasury and trade finance operations, ensuring accurate processing, settlement and reconciliation of foreign exchange and payment transactions. The role prepares SWIFT communications, maintains rate tables and resolves client and bank queries promptly. It supports the bank’s compliance and reporting requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
- professional certification preferred
- • 3–5 years of relevant experience in banking, trade finance or treasury operations
- • Strong knowledge of SWIFT messaging, foreign‑exchange processing and reconciliation
- • Excellent analytical, reporting and problem‑solving skills
- • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict settlement deadlines
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Process vouchers and book interbank and client foreign‑exchange transactions
- • Prepare and transmit SWIFT messages for funds transfers, deal confirmations and market communications
- • Ensure timely settlement of transactions within prescribed cut‑off times
- • Maintain daily foreign‑exchange rates and update system records
- • Perform NOSTRO account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
- • Keep departmental registers, schedules and transaction logs up to date
- • Investigate and resolve queries from banks and customers, including failed transfers
- • Support compliance reporting and internal audit activities related to treasury operations
