Job Description
The Senior Program Officer will lead resource mobilisation and grant management for food‑security and livelihood programmes, developing proposals, overseeing grant implementation and ensuring compliance. The role involves designing climate‑resilient interventions, building partnerships and providing technical advisory support to achieve sustainable outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • MBA, MSc or MA degree
- • 7–10 years of experience in program management, grants administration or related fields
- • Proven experience in resource mobilisation and donor engagement
- • Strong knowledge of agricultural and climate‑resilient programming
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Identify, prioritize and secure funding opportunities with donors, UN agencies, climate funds and the private sector
- • Lead development of concept notes, budgets, logframes and donor applications
- • Manage grants end‑to‑end, including start‑up, compliance, reporting, budgeting and close‑out
- • Design food‑security, livelihoods and agricultural enterprise programmes grounded in market realities
- • Provide technical advisory and quality assurance to ensure effective programme implementation
- • Integrate climate‑resilient and adaptation approaches into proposals and programmes
- • Develop partnerships with government, UN agencies, private sector and research institutions
