Job Description
The Senior Program Officer will provide technical leadership for laboratory systems strengthening across fifteen counties under the CHAK Daraja Project. The role ensures quality‑assured HIV and TB diagnostics, maintains commodity availability and strengthens laboratory quality management. It also mentors county laboratory coordinators and supports transition of oversight to local health teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant scientific or health field
- advanced degree optional
- • Minimum 7 years of experience in laboratory management or health systems strengthening
- • Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑stakeholder projects and mentor teams

- • Lead technical coordination and oversight of laboratory systems strengthening across 15 counties
- • Ensure timely, quality‑assured HIV and TB diagnostic services
- • Maintain uninterrupted supply of laboratory commodities
- • Strengthen laboratory quality management systems and promote continuous improvement
