Job Description
Provides comprehensive social work services to trafficking survivors, overseeing intake, assessment, case planning and ongoing support. Coordinates multi‑agency referrals and ensures interventions are trauma‑informed and culturally responsive. Facilitates case reviews and empowers survivors to achieve safe reintegration.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
- • Experience conducting assessments and case management for survivors of trafficking or other vulnerable populations.
- • Knowledge of trauma‑informed and culturally responsive practice.
- • Strong documentation, reporting, and interpersonal communication skills.
- • Ability to work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams and external service providers.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Receive and support the intake of survivors referred to shelter and victim assistance services.
- • Conduct comprehensive assessments covering individual, family, health, psychosocial, legal, and livelihood needs.
- • Perform vulnerability and risk assessments and promptly escalate urgent concerns.
- • Develop individualized case management plans and regularly review them with survivors.
- • Ensure all assessments and interventions are age‑, gender‑, disability‑, and culturally responsive.
- • Use trauma‑informed interview techniques to minimize distress for survivors.
- • Manage a caseload of trafficking survivors in accordance with case management procedures.
- • Provide structured follow‑up and monitor progress against case plans.
- • Support survivors in identifying recovery, protection, and reintegration priorities.
- • Identify barriers to recovery and coordinate appropriate responses with service providers.
- • Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and conduct case reviews.
- • Facilitate timely referrals to medical, psychosocial, legal, child protection, police, documentation, education, livelihood, and other specialized services.
- • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of referral pathways and service providers.
- • Follow up referrals to confirm service uptake and address any remaining needs.
- • Promote survivor participation, autonomy, and informed decision‑making throughout the process.
