Job Description
The Senior Strategy Associate will lead the creation of investment‑ready business plans, financial models, and market analyses to support BURN’s growth initiatives across African markets. The role involves conducting competitive and policy research, preparing board‑level presentations, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to validate assumptions. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for translating strategic insights into actionable recommendations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) in a relevant field
- • MBA, MSc, or MA preferred
- • 4–7 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate development
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Lead development of business plans for equity raises, debt financing, and new product or market launches
- • Build and maintain financial models to support business case development and capital allocation
- • Conduct market sizing, competitive intelligence, and policy/regulatory analysis for African markets
- • Translate strategic recommendations into board‑ready documents, one‑pagers, and executive briefings
- • Partner with internal teams to gather inputs and validate assumptions underpinning business plans
- • Prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, and senior leadership reviews
- • Track follow‑up actions and monitor performance against strategic objectives
