Job Description
The Senior Transport Coordinator oversees daily transport operations, optimizes fleet utilization, and ensures timely delivery of goods. They coordinate with warehouses, customers, and transport providers while monitoring dispatch schedules and performance metrics. The role also manages relationships with third‑party logistics partners and supports contract and onboarding processes. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (BA/BSc/HND)
- • Minimum five years’ experience in transport, logistics or fleet management
- • Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
- • Strong organizational and communication skills

- • Coordinate daily transport operations and allocate trucks
- • Plan vehicle utilization to optimize fleet capacity and reduce costs
- • Monitor dispatch schedules and ensure timely cargo delivery
- • Liaise with warehouses, customers and transport providers to maintain smooth operations
- • Manage route planning and load‑optimization initiatives
- • Monitor transporter performance against KPIs and maintain provider relationships
- • Ensure sufficient truck availability to meet business demand
- • Track fleet utilization, turnaround time and vehicle productivity
- • Support contract management and onboarding of transporters
- • Monitor shipments from loading to final delivery
