Job Description

The Shipping In‑Charge leads a large team responsible for dispatch, warehouse and route operations in a fast‑moving consumer goods environment. The role ensures accurate and timely deliveries, maintains stock integrity through FIFO and inventory controls, and prepares regular MIS reports. It also coordinates with sales, finance and transport functions to resolve operational issues and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
  • • 4–5 years experience in FMCG, dairy or beverage distribution
  • • Strong knowledge of SAP transaction processes and inventory functions
  • • Understanding of route sales, van sales and warehouse management
  • • Experience with stock management, FIFO, physical counting and return reconciliation
  • • Ability to lead and coordinate a team of 30–40 members
  • • Familiarity with cold‑chain and dairy/beverage warehouse operations
  • • Knowledge of transport and POD management
  • • Proficiency in preparing daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports
  • • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends

  • • Manage daily shipping, dispatch and warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • • Plan and allocate sales routes, van sales and route reconciliation
  • • Supervise salesmen, drivers and warehouse staff, overseeing a team of 30–40 employees
  • • Implement stock management procedures, including FIFO, physical counts and inventory accuracy
  • • Oversee inbound and outbound warehouse processes and documentation
  • • Process returns and reconcile return records
  • • Manage proof‑of‑delivery documentation and reconciliation
  • • Monitor and report on warehouse and transport KPIs, route efficiency and stock variance
  • • Coordinate shift planning and manpower utilization across all shifts
  • • Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce losses and discrepancies
