Job Description
The Social Media & Communications Officer will create and manage content across multiple platforms to grow audience engagement and support recruitment initiatives. Responsibilities include producing videos, writing copy, handling inquiries, and reporting performance metrics. The role demands a proven track record of audience growth and strong storytelling abilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in Mass Media, Communication, Journalism, Fine Art or a related field
- • Demonstrated success growing an Instagram or TikTok account to at least 25,000 followers
- • Strong written English with ability to craft compelling copy
- • Proficiency in short‑form video editing tools such as CapCut or equivalent
- • Solid photography skills and an eye for visual storytelling
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Plan and produce content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, including shooting and editing short videos
- • Test content formats, analyze performance data, and scale successful approaches
- • Manage comments, direct messages, and route inquiries, logging each lead accurately
- • Write announcements, newsletters, partner updates, and website copy
- • Support employer and institutional communications in collaboration with senior leadership
- • Produce monthly reports on reach, engagement, and generated enquiries
