Job Description
The Software Developer Intern will work with the engineering team to build, maintain and deploy web applications using modern frameworks. Interns will design RESTful APIs, collaborate via Git, solve algorithmic challenges and assist with containerisation and deployment pipelines. This position offers hands‑on experience with full‑stack development and cloud‑based environments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • KCSE with a minimum B+ grade or equivalent
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or be in the final year of study
- • Strong understanding of JavaScript, React, Python, Django and Django REST Framework
- • Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms with strong problem‑solving skills
- • Proficiency with Git and GitHub/GitLab workflows
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop and maintain web applications using Python, Django and React
- • Design and consume RESTful APIs with Django REST Framework
- • Collaborate with the team using Git for version control and code reviews
- • Solve algorithmic challenges and write efficient, clean, maintainable code
- • Assist in containerising applications and supporting deployment pipelines
- • Participate in code testing, debugging and performance optimisation
