Job Description
The Solar Design & Proposal Technician designs solar PV systems, prepares technical and commercial proposals, and supports project implementation. The role includes conducting site surveys, generating system drawings and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or Certificate in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering or related field
- • Minimum 4 years of experience in solar PV system design or similar technical role
- • Proficiency with solar design software such as PVsyst or AutoCAD
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Design and size off‑grid, hybrid and grid‑tied solar PV systems
- • Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for clients
- • Conduct site surveys and collect data to inform designs
- • Produce system drawings, layouts and single‑line diagrams using design software
- • Support the installation team during project execution and commissioning
- • Ensure designs comply with safety regulations and company procedures
