Job Description
The Staff Nurse – Midwife provides comprehensive nursing care, assesses patient needs, and supports clinical procedures within the hospital. Responsibilities include planning individualized care, assisting with daily activities, monitoring patient conditions, and supervising junior staff. Effective communication with patients and multidisciplinary teams is vital.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery
- • Registered midwife status
- • Minimum 1 year post‑qualification experience in midwifery nursing

- • Plan, provide, and evaluate nursing care tailored to individual patient needs
- • Attend to patients’ physical, psychological, and mental health requirements
- • Assist patients with daily activities and personal care
- • Monitor, record, and report changes in patient symptoms
- • Maintain accurate patient documentation
- • Assess patient needs and develop care plans
- • Participate in ward rounds with medical and nursing personnel
- • Assist medical staff in examinations, treatments, and clinical investigations
- • Orient and supervise new staff and students
- • Coordinate ward activities to ensure smooth operation
- • Communicate effectively with patients and other departments for continuity of care
