Job Description
The Stock Accountant ensures accurate inventory records for raw materials and finished goods throughout the production cycle. They reconcile stock movements, monitor consumption against production plans, and maintain data integrity in the ERP system. The role demands strong analytical skills and attention to detail to resolve variances promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- • Knowledge of accounting principles, inventory controls and reconciliation procedures
- • Understanding of ERP systems (ERP Next is an advantage)
- • Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Record and monitor receipt of fabrics, yarn, threads, zips, buttons, packaging materials and other production inputs
- • Reconcile supplier invoices, purchase orders and goods received notes in the ERP system
- • Verify that all received materials are correctly captured and authorized for issue
- • Monitor raw‑material consumption against production requirements and Bills of Materials
- • Investigate and resolve unusual or excessive material consumption and stock variances
- • Maintain accurate records of issued, transferred, returned and consumed materials
- • Track material movements from stores to specific production orders or batches
