Job Description
The Stores Assistant/Store Keeper at AutoXpress manages the receipt, storage, control and issuance of automotive parts to support workshop operations. Responsibilities include accurate inventory tracking, stock organization and ensuring timely availability of components for technicians. The role requires attention to detail and basic knowledge of automotive parts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Secondary education or equivalent
- diploma in logistics or related field preferred
- • Prior experience in parts store or inventory management within the automotive sector
- • Ability to read and interpret part numbers and specifications
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Receive incoming automotive parts and verify quantities against delivery documents
- • Store parts in designated locations following organized shelving systems
- • Control inventory levels and conduct regular stock counts
- • Issue parts to workshop staff based on work orders and maintain accurate issue records
- • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the store area
- • Liaise with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and arrange re‑orders
